Our trip to the Bahamas was amazing. Warm sun, sandy beaches, amazing food, and a beautiful resort made for a very relaxing and memorable trip. I forgot all my worries for 5 whole days! Soon, Scott and I leave for a 5 day vacation to the Bahamas. As excited as I am, the mommy guilt started sneaking in a couple of days ago. I’m feeling really bad about leaving my life (my children) behind and in other people’s hands. I keep hearing from others that we deserve some time away, that it will be great to have some one-on-one time, and that everything will be fine, but I really love being with my whole family and I am going to miss it! I’m sure the trip will be amazing, but it is still hard when I think time with my kids is pretty darn amazing too. Continue reading
It is expected to be the coldest it has been in our area in the last 20 years. On Friday, some schools were already annoucing that school would be closed on Monday – ours included. Since I don’t have to worry about my kids going out, the next concern was for the cows. Continue reading
Right after we purchased the cows, Scott and I went to meet them. I wanted to pick one to be “mine”, before all the kids started picking and naming them. This beautiful lady caught my eye and was the first one to come close to me. I told Scott she was mine and that the kids could name all of the rest. I decided to name her Daisy. Continue reading
2013 was a great year for our family. Many of our dreams came true and goals met. We took a family road-trip to Disney, we finshed some projects in the house, and we managed to get our oldest into high school.
